Short-term Programs

The Applied English Center designs special programs for sponsored groups. We take pride in customizing each program to meet the needs of the sponsoring group. Past programs have focused on English teacher-training, academic and cultural orientation, conversational English, business English and vocational ESL. Where appropriate, faculty and staff from other academic fields, schools or businesses assist in program development and instruction. Session length and dates are set to meet each group's needs.

Each program has a custom-tailored curriculum and orientation program. Unique field trips, cultural enrichment activities, visits to local schools, businesses, and community groups, housing arrangements, and transportation and cross-cultural advising services are included with each program.
